HOMEMADE HUMMUS

14:15

I've always been a massive fan of dip. Hummus, guacamole, sour cream and chive, garlic and onion, salsa. You name them, I've tried them. Apart from taramasalata! Seriously, who eats fish eggs? Barf!
Since becoming vegetarian, a lot of my food choices have switched from shop bought to homemade and this is one of my firm faves.
On the side with avocado on toast, accompanying tomatoes, cucumber or carrot, even drizzled on a salad. It's delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tins of 400g chickpeas
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tspn of cumin
  • 2 tbspn of tahini
  • 8 tbspn of olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • water (optional depending how thick you like your hummus)

Method:

Whiz it all up in a food processor or blender until smooth and you're good to go!
